Product Specialist in (Rubber & PU Belts) in Punjab location

Job Description:

Job Profile Product Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Specialist to lead the design, formulation,

prototyping, and manufacturing optimization of Endless Poly-V belts, Endless Timing

belts, and Endless Flat Transmission belts, Endless Caterpillar belts.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in polymer materials, belt construction,

reinforcement technology, rubber compounding, tooling design, and production

processes used in power transmission belts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Development

 Design and develop endless belt products (Poly-V, Timing, and Flat belts)

according to customer requirements and industry standards.

 Develop belt geometry, tooth profiles, rib profiles, reinforcement layers, and textile

integration.

 Select appropriate elastomer compounds (e.g., rubber, polyurethane) and

reinforcement materials yarn, cord (e.g. Nylon, polyester, aramid, fiberglass, Steel

wire and cords).

2. Material & Process Engineering

 Develop and test rubber and polymer formulations suitable for endless belt

applications.

 Optimize curing, moulding, calendaring, winding, extrusion, and vulcanization

processes.

 Design tools, mandrels, and moulds required for endless belt manufacturing.

3. Testing & Quality Assurance

 Conduct tensile strength, elongation, wear resistance, fatigue, flex testing, and

dynamic performance evaluation.

 Analyse test data and develop product improvement strategies.

 Ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer specifications.

4. Prototyping & Production Support

 Oversee development of prototypes and coordinate with production teams for pilot

runs.

 Troubleshoot failures in belt performance or manufacturing processes.

 Implement process improvements to increase belt durability and production

efficiency.

5. Collaboration & Documentation

 Work with cross-functional teams (sales, purchasing, manufacturing) to support

application engineering.

 Create product specifications, technical drawings, test reports, and production SOPs.

 Provide customer technical support for belt performance, selection, and

customization.

Required Qualifications

 Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Polymer Engineering, Rubber Technology, or

related field.

 Strong understanding of:

o Rubber/polymer compounding

o Reinforcement textiles and cords

o Power transmission design principles

o Endless belt moulding and curing processes.

 Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) is must.

 Knowledge of ISO / ASTM belt testing standards.

Preferred Skills

 Technical knowledge with PU timing belts, Poly-V belt rib profile design, and

conveyor flat belt construction.

 Hands-on knowledge of calendaring, moulding, or continuous vulcanization.

 Strong problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude.

 Excellent communication and documentation skills.
